Reports from a number of media said Paratici had inquired about the 31-year-old’s loan. He has contacted Barcelona and plans to borrow the midfielder for next season.

Paratici has known Pjanic since his time at Juventus. So, he knows the quality of the former Juventus player. As a result, he recommended the new Spurs coach, Nuno Espirito Santo, to recruit him.

According to Spanish journalist Euan McTear, he said Pjanic would suit the style of play Nuno Espirito Santo wants to apply at his new club. Although he is a veteran player, but it is not a big problem.

“It’s hard to know what the Nuno project will look like. But Pjanic is one of the veteran players who might suit the Spurs,” he told thisisfutbol.

“So if he moves, then Tottenham are a good fit.”

Pjanic has long been rumored to be heading for Barcelona’s exit. He reportedly wants to leave this season. The reason is that the player is difficult to penetrate the Barca first team and is not included in Ronald Koeman’s squad plans next season.
